  3.     Lyn Nofziger, former political director for Ronald Reagan,
  4. has written to complain that when he was convicted of violating
  5. a federal ethics law and sentenced to prison back in 1988, we
  6. found the event newsworthy. But when a federal appeals court
  7. overturned that conviction in June, we failed to mention it in
  8. the magazine. "Shouldn't newsmagazines also have a code of
  9. ethics?" Nofziger's letter asked.
  10.  
  11.     The answer is yes. Mr. Nofziger's point is well taken, and
  12. we apologize.
  13.
